According to CTVA UK this clip aired in 192TV (which puts this as Feb 62) is missing: As soon as I saw that thin wand-like microphone lower down at the beginning, I instantly new this was the Palladium.

Great job spotting that. I'm looking further into it. RR UPDATE: According to TV Brain ( www.tvbrain.info ): 13 minute section exists on 16mm Neg featuring Norman Vaughan and Bobby Vee. Bobby sings 'Take Good Care of My Baby', 'Run to Him', 'Linda(?)' and 'Marie'.

Great clip (though I wish 192TV wouldn't redub live vocals!).

Fascinating discovery I do hope there's more of this show to see!. For years i've bemoaned the fact so few SNALP shows survive, with precious few to my knowledge from autumn 1960 until autumn 1965. With each Palladium season running for over nine months, (averaging say 40 shows per year?) even during that five year period alone the total number of missing shows must be close to 200!.. a tragic loss by any measure.
One of the major attractions for me each week was that the star turn was given the whole final third of the show (15 mins) to perform an average of five songs plus perform a short comedy skit with Bruce ,Norman or Jimmy.
Peter here's broadcast data i made some years ago about each season from 1959. I don't know if these are still accurate and up to date, but if you could bring me up to speed with surviving episodes that would be most welcome.
1959-1960 Season: 13th Sept.1959- 19th June 1960 1960-1961 Season: 11th Sept.1960- 2nd July 1961 1961-1962 Season: 10h Sept.1961 - 24th June 1962 1962-1963 Season: 16th Sept.1962- 23th June 1963 1963-1964 Season: 15th Sept.1963- 28th June 1964 1964-1965 Season: 20th Sept.1964- 13th June 1965 1965-1966 Season: 19th Sept.1965- 12th June 1966 1966-1967 Season: 2nd Oct. 1966- 11th June 1967
