Does anyone perhaps know if the group "the gods" ever appeared on BBC television? This would be 1967 onwards, possibly in colour.
Maybe in the same program with "Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick & Tich"?
I tried Genome but it doesn't seem to help.

If so being a bit of a fan of theirs back in the day I did a bit of digging at the time & never came across anything. Might be worth trying to contact Ken if we are talking about the same group of course.

I found a reference to a recording made around 1967, in colour even. But it's also possible that it never aired.

I haven’t been able to find any information about a BBC TV appearance by The Gods. However, I’ve discovered that a colour promo film was made in 1968 for their song ‘Baby’s Rich’. This is on YouTube. The promo film was made by Eyemark Films, a company headed by an ex-BBC cameraman called Mark Edwards. Eyemark Films also made a promo for ‘Legend of Xanadu’ by Dave Dee, Beaky, Mick and Tich. It’s possible that these Eyemark promo films were shown on BBC TV.

Done.
Hi Ken,
Sorry to bother you. I’m on the Missing Episodes on line forum and a question has come in from one of the members as to whether The Gods ever appeared on BBC Television in the late 60’s possibly 67 or 68. Being a fan of early Uriah Heep I had in the back of my mind that you used to be a member of The Gods & volunteered to contact you.
Kind Regards,
Richard Woods

Or no reply to either of us is a distinct possibility. There’s always Paul Newton, who was in both groups too I believe & is still active in the music scene. Had a quick look yesterday & couldn’t see any contact info. Will have another look. If I find any I contact details I will pass them on & let you contact him.
