The Nico performance from BBC's Disco 2 for February 25th 1971 exists in good quality: www.youtube.com/watch?v=44KHVgjgzKQDoes anyone know if the rest of the programme might exist? The other featured artists on that edition were Argent and Tom Gerricky.

I’ve just been looking at the artist lists for Disco2. Wow! What a crying shame that more hasn’t survived. Is there a list of the bits that do still exist?

Couldn't agree more about the quality and variety of artists on Disco 2 Richard, so many in that line-up I would love to see. In addition to Nico other surviving footage includes Matthews Southern Comfort, Trapeze and The Faces, and there's also an animation film for the JJ Band. I think LA (Love Affair post Steve Ellis) also survives. It would be good if there was a comprehensive list.
EDIT: Film of Quintessence performing two live numbers also exists.

The first episode, with live performances by Joe Cocker and Lou Christie (backed by The Elton John Group) exists in full. Bob Pratt also preserved a showing of The Beatles "Get Back" from the rooftop concert as shown on Disco 2.

Yes, it exists if full. I saw the whole show at a showing at Kaleidoscope in 2014. It was also briefly up on YouTube in the second half of 2018 on the unofficial OGWT YouTube channel before it got taken down. Someone did manage to excerpt the Jimmy Campbell bit and repost it elsewhere though, and that’s still up: youtu.be/p-QKkBntCHE

What price a forgotten store room full of dusty video tapes.
