We are researching the 'lost' t.v. / radio series by Alan Lomax "The Song Hunter" (t.v.) and the "The Ballad Hunter" (radio) - both from the 1950s Does anyone know if any of these programmes have survived? There are a Wiki articles here: www.wikiwand.com/en/Copper_Family"John's son was Walter Ronald, known as Ron (c.1913–1979). Together, Jim, John, Ron and Bob sang at the Royal Albert Hall and wider public attention followed the broadcast of a six-part television series Song Hunter, presented by Alan Lomax and featuring Jim, Bob and Ron." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Lomax"The Song Hunter, which featured performances by a wide range of traditional musicians from all over Britain and Ireland, as well as Lomax himself.[32] In 1957 Lomax hosted a folk music show on BBC's Home Service called 'A Ballad Hunter' and organized a skiffle group, Alan Lomax and the Ramblers (who included Ewan MacColl, Peggy Seeger, and Shirley Collins, among others), which appeared on British television." Many thanks.
