Comedian Tim Brooke-Taylor has died at the age of 79 with coronavirus, his agent has confirmed to the BBC.
The entertainer, best known for The Goodies and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, died on Sunday.
Fellow Goodie star Graeme Garden said he was "terribly saddened by the loss of a dear colleague and close friend of over 50 years".
"He was a funny, sociable, generous man who was a delight to work with," Garden said.
"Audiences found him not only hilarious but also adorable. His loss at this dreadful time is particularly hard to bear, and my thoughts are with Christine, Ben, Edward and their families."

Awful news. I have such fond memories of watching The Goodies.

An unbecoming demise for someone who deserved a far better end (as do all those who succumb to the Coronavirus of course).
RIP Tim, your legacy is assured.

I remember The Goodies on public tv in America in the mid 1970s. Then it disappeared forever sadly. Loved the theme music and zany action. RIP.

Sad to see him go. Loved the Goodies as a child especially. Not sure why thread title (as it appears on the main "The Nexus" page) refers to "China virus" rather than coronavirus (I know it originated there). The only person I've previously heard refer to it as the "China virus" is Trump.

My favourite episode of the Goodies was (& still probably is) Cecily from the first season where Tim takes centre stage & goes to work in drag as a nanny for a homicidal child in a āhaunted houseā.

The only person I've previously heard refer to it as the "China virus" is Trump. I see the thread title on the main "The Nexus" page has now been changed to refer to "coronavirus", which makes better sense. Thought I'd better mention this now in case people wonder what I was on about in my previous post!
