Johnny Hart 1966 ‘Magician who worked with the Beatles, Ken Dodd and Bruce Forsyth’
ABC schedule for Sunday 7th June 1964
11.05pm Here's Magic - with Johnny Hart
11.10 The Enemies Within - with James Mossman. Final programme is on the day hospital, followed by Tomorrow's Weather
The Epilogue - Rt Rev Edward Easson, Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney and Close-down
how come ABC television show a epilogue from the bishop of aberdeen and orkney? as they're based in the midlands and the north surely they can not do their own one from the regions they served but not from another station(grampian).very strange.
For those that don't know ... The Age (Melbourne) and Sydney Morning Herald are online, other city newspapers are not. Canberra and Adelaide are available via Trove.
There used to be (to 1980) three listings magazines, TV Week, TV Guide and TV Times, the last an ABC publication. ABC's lawyers eventually told me to reproduce whatever I wanted from it as they were sick of my correspondence.
They are quite expensive now; I looked in the Secret Television Room at an antiques shop and was tempted by a dog eared one at $3, only to straighten the cover and find it was in fact $30.
Unfortunately legal deposit hasn't left perfect runs anywhere, it may be that some gaps in listings are insurmountable. Foxtel Magazine, which only started in 1995, is in a particularly poor state.
My friend's offered me his run but whether this happens is yet to be seen.
Andrew's TelevisionAU site is great, but his guides are more representational than comprehensive.
Last Edit: Feb 4, 2020 1:49:26 GMT by Martin Dunne: Add: Extended sook about Australian TV listings.
This website has a Contact tab and an enquiry form for you to make an enquiry and for James to answer
James may be able to find out which of the episodes of No Hiding Place were shown on the above dates. On the opening page of the website, at the bottom, are the Tabs, in Tab: Footage Research and Supply is "We also act as agent to a number of private film and video collections." So also on the Contact Enquiry Form, James could be asked, does he know of any footage of No Hiding Place or any other Rediffusion programmes or BBC programmes that are among the number of private film and video collections.
