Hello all! Thought this was an intresting video btw; www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE2GEmHque8It is all about a device called a "Schaub Lorenz 5001 Music Centre" which had a built in radio and tape recorder - although the tape was apparently non removable! But it could record off the radio for something like 46 hours (divided into 126 tracks of 22 mins). From the video these machines date from the late 60s. But it would be intresting to find out how many of these old machines survived and still work - and if they have any missing material recorded on them. For an example go to 14:45 in that video to hear a clip from R1/Kenny Everett though I am not sure of the date (although the caption in the video mentions 1970). ljones

I'm surprised that nobody has responded to this as I thought it was actually quite a find (when I saw this video at 2am or so I made a post myself that nobody answered before I saw this one.) considering the amount of material such a thing could hold, a lot of which I would imagine is lost just due to the age and amount of time on the reel. Hopefully someone with the ability will contact techmoan and try to backup the reel.
