If only somebody had filmed their first ever appearance on TV at Granada studios. Apparently they were quite serious and didn't smile, which would be fascinating to see now as, by the time anything televisual was recorded, they were very much at ease in front of the camera. Check Mike McCartney's "Family Album", there is a photo of this performance taken when Mike went into a pub to see this, and took a shot of the TV. They did look quite serious, if I recall.

Quite fancied this until I noticed it’s in 2 x 1 hr slots with a 3 hr gap in the middle, not ideal if you are travelling any distance. And just to cap it off Mersey Rail has industrial action that day 😢

And just to cap it off Mersey Rail has industrial action that day 😢 I imagine there's a three hour gap to allow visitors to see the rest of the exhibition. I went there last year and it's laid out like a history trip through British music. The exhibits may have changed since my visit but there was a section with some of David Bowie and Dusty Springfield's stage costumes.
