'Moi and the Red Bull' and 'The Hyena's Medicine Man' are two of the Kenyan folk tales retold in 'Tales Told Near a Crocodile' by Humphrey Harman. 'Why the Owl only comes out at Night' and 'King Solomon's Umbrella' are in 'Ten Minute Tales' by Rhoda Power, a compilation of folk tales from the BBC Schools programme of the same name. Here is the Radio Times showing Carleton Hobbs reading 'King Solomon's Umbrella' in a 1944 broadcast: genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/c15476eba1c841a3b2fda8c8fa7bc469'Pilot Captain Hawk' and 'The Great Bumbleton Mouse Hunt' are from 'Manxmouse' by Paul Gallico. 'The Pocket Mouse' is by Barbara Willard. Do I really need to say 'The Happy Prince' is by Oscar Wilde? I don't know 'The Snowman's Rescue', but Ray Langstone's post above says it's by Michael Sloan and was read by David Hamilton.
