Hi, not sure if this has been mention before and sort of comes from the nice fan-made short ME documentaries thread (Josh Snares) there is a video on you tube from the guy who does the ME documentary about a university who are recreating mission to the unknown with permission from the Terry nation estate and the bbc, looks very good and interesting, Peter purvis & Edward De Souza have visited the set to watch them making it.

I think those are extras from Loose Canon's recons. I always thought those were excellent.

Nope, this is not one of the Loose Cannon extras. It's a new initiative - I first heard about it when Peter Purves posted on Twitter a last month. DR WHO - MISSION TO THE UNKNOWN (BBC NORTH WEST NEWS 20/02/19) -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=HStzDpGmHRYBoth Edward de Souza and Peter Purves have done interviews, and Nicolas Briggs is voicing the Daleks. Everyone is hoping that it will be included on some sort of official release.

Recently Peter Purves reported on Twitter that the remake was going to be screened at a private screening on the 29th of March and he urged the BBC to consider release

Hi all,
I've just joined this forum. I was a Dalek operator on Mission 2019, and (through my main line of work) built a replica Beaus helmet as well.
UCLAN are still pushing for a release, the BBC are keen for it to be seen but as they've never received a project like this there's no real precedent for it yet. I can confirm that the viewing experience is really something.

From the pictures that I've seen, it looks great!

Absolutely brilliant. As a very, very faithful recreation, I can't see how you could improve on this in any significant way (eg. don't think lip-synching the actors to the original audio would work as well). A fabulous viewing experience. Hope they put it on a dvd release at some point. Thanks so much to Andrew Ireland & his incredible team.

I was only vaguely aware that this even existed and, having not seen any behind the scenes photos or anything prior to watching, really wasn't expecting much. Have to say though that those involved have really, really surpassed my lowly expectations! Absolutely superb, meticulously faithful, technically accomplished but above all captures the 'feel' and atmosphere of mid-sixties 'Who perfectly (and not just because it's in B/W!). Clearly a labour of love. Congrats to all involved. ...A full recreation of 'Daleks Masterplan when?!
