I was thinking about how clips from Power of the Daleks were found in an other show and it got me thinking,
Are there any other shows which might of shown missing Doctor Who footage that are now missing?

Aparently footage from Power of the Daleks 2 appeared in the 29th January 1971 edition of Ask Aspel.

Not only footage from missing episodes but there were other guest appearances as well. I recall Daleks on Crackerjack on more than one occasion during the mid 60s.

I remember a Crackerjack (I think) that had a song along the lines of "I'm the old Doctor Who, I'm the new Doctor Who" where I was astonished to discover that there actually had been an old Doctor! I'm presuming it was Troughton and Hartnell.
Cheers Simon

I just got the information from BroaDWcast. As far as I know, there wasn't a special guest. Maybe a viewer who saw Power on its original transmission requested that they show a clip?

I have a feeling it may have even have been just before Pertwee or during his first season and the sketch may have included a third Doctor who appeared at the very end. What I do remember was the checked trousers as part of the costume for the `Old Dr Who.' Inspiration for The Three Doctors perhaps?

Maybe a viewer who saw Power on its original transmission requested that they show a clip? I saw the Ask Aspel programme in question at the time, and I've posted here before about the Power footage used. It was from episode 4 of Power, not episode 2, and it was largely or, quite probably, entirely footage that still survives from other sources. The context of its use was viewers writing in about the current series - one complaining about "the Master and his plastic toys", if I recall correctly, which lead to a clip from "Terror Of The Autons", and another's letter saying "bring back the Daleks", which lead to the Power clip.

The notion that the Power clip used on the 29 January 1971 Ask Aspel is from Episode 2 is because that's what the Programme-as-Broadcast sheet for the edition indicates, although they're not always 100% accurate. It was followed by a clip of the Auton Daffodil Men from Episode 4 of Terror of the Autons.

It was essentially or entirely the same episode 4 sequence of Power as one of the ones that was rediscovered in 2005 ("Dalek <N> complete", etc.) It made quite a big impact on myself and my friend who was watching it with me, and I also remember my friend re-enacting the Dalek lines after the programme.

I've heard that C for Computer has since being junked after the Dalek clips were extracted. According to a couple of accounts, Perspectives: C For Computer had been junked long before the clips were found, and that it was an insert reel, rather than the program as a whole, where the clips were located. Anyone know if this claim is accurate?
