Quote********* Who are you told by if I may ask? Could you provide a few more details if possible please? Peter Cushing is really a national treasure. A great actor. Unquote*********************************************** Im not getting into a flame war with you, however much you seem to want one The above statement was not in any way shape or form rude. If you think it is then, whatever, maybe your just too close to the problem to realise that you are in fact very paranoid if you construe the above as insulting or rude. Perhaps seek professional help. I wish you luck in sorting your problems out.

ME PARANOID? How dare you make such a statement. At my age I've had enough of foul mouthed youths with no manners. The short time I've been on this forum and the World Wide Web have opened my eyes to the way people behave. I had to look up 'Ganga' and I don't find that remotely funny as a joke. I thought the people on this board were like minded friends not a bunch of morons. Frederick, in a mere few posts, you've managed to provoke several people with your use of the English language, then when they've replied with restraint, you've had another go. Please re-read your posts in this thread. You seem to be very easily offended when someone asks a question in a non-aggressive way. ''Don't post on here with that tone'' is hardly going to win you any friends. Or maybe your experiences on the web are everybody else's fault?.

They put Peter Cushins pants on exhibition?!?!? Oh the humanity!! Frederik, if you really are new here then you can be forgiven for not being aware of the shear volume of hoaxes that are perpetrated by time wasting non entities with no life, no mates and nothing better to do. No one is calling you a liar, all we did was ask for a few more details. If you are trying to be helpful then good for you, but reports will generally be taken with a pinch of salt, due to frequent hoaxes. Now, if you have any more details about this missing footage, then please feel free to share so it can be investigated

GH, do you have a suitable background?

Sure I do, if you prefer though get in touch with one of the well known names on this forum who are old hands at this sort of thing. One of them will be more than happy to help put this footage back in the publics hands where it belongs as indeed would I. Anyway, have a nice weekend and hopefully something nice will turn up.

I would recomend contacting Paul Vanezis, or E-mail the Restoration team at:

I bet they would be able to fully help you with your missing material. Let us know if this was of any help.
Lance.

How has this thread become so "tricky" so soon? I couldn't see anything wrong in gh's' query, no "tone" at all! If you're new to such message-boards then do bear in mind that details are all, hoaxes do abound, not that I am suggesting that you are complicit in such, just that gh's original reply was quite fair and without "tone" as I read it. If any missing shows are there it's fantastic news, don't interpret reasonable queries for details as being hostile. We all want the same thing, surely, missing episodes being recovered, let's not get into tetchy stuff. I think a few deep breaths and count to ten are required, it's sad when possible leads dissolve into irritation for no good reason.

Is this a fifteen minute argument, or have you paid for the full half hour?

I've been to the Peter Cushing Museum in Whitstable and certainly saw no evidence of them having any missing material. I've been following this one up, and based on the records I've now seen from the Whistable museum they don't have any Peter Cushing material on Umatic video - they do hold some related Sherlock Holmes/Cushing objects, but no moving image material.
