does anyone remember this short 10 minute kids programme from the sixties. the host was wally whiton, the programme was certainly shown in the granada area and featured just a sort cartoon plus a song from wally. can anybody tell me if this programme was networked or was it regional.thanks.

Quite clearly. It was certainly on in Granada land. I also think it was first presented by Brian Inglis before Wally Whyton.
"Time for a laugh, time for some fun, why don't you join us everyone?

Sounds like "The Musical Box" (part of the Small Time strand in London - don't know if other regions got it at the same time). Wally plus songs, cut-out animations to the lyrics and appearances by girl thingy cat Willum.
One episode survives at the BFI - oh, how i'd love to see this again...

NOW I see what Steve Roberts was pissed off about! I did not write "girl thingy cat Willum" but that's how it appeared. How ridiculous can you get?! We all know who we're talking about though, don't we?
