You may be aware of the seminal BBC series The Great War, which was very much a precursor to the more widely remembered World at War. Narrated by Michael Redgrave, with additional voicework from Ralph Richardson, Marius Goring etc. Those archival interviews of veterans which are around for the Great War centenary commemorations were filmed for this series. It was released on DVD by Dd Home Entertainment some years ago. However there was a follow-up series, again narrated by Michael Redgrave which exists in the BBC archive. It's never had a repeat nor a commercial release and I think was a bit of a critical failure. www.imdb.com/title/tt5444548/So I've tried asking the now defunct BBC store to release it - they said "Great idea Tim!" then promptly went bust. I've tried nagging the BBC Archive page. I've tried seeking the advice of a person or two who work around the BBC archive. I'm absolutely desperate to see this, as the initial series is simply one of my favourite TV shows/things ever. Any ideas on how I might get to see this before I expire? With the centenary of the end of the Great War upon us, if it doesn't see the light of day now I fear it never will.

The Imperial War Museum has it. But what's odd, no mention in the BFI database.
I suppose you could ask the BFI if they have a way for you to view it... But, it's got several episodes, right? So that's a lot of hours to spend in a viewing booth somewhere.
