www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-The-Macra-Terror/dp/B07GVZH62CSeemingly a yet unreleased DVD of "The Macra Terror" popped up on Amazon (US). Maybe a mistake? Or the animated episode the BFI mentioned in there MBW-time schedule? What do you think of this? Just a mistake, an animation or are there maybe even evidence for more?

There's an entry for *every* Doctor Who episode in the BFI catalogue, both existing and missing.

We know there's another animation on the way and the rumours point towards The Macra Terror.
Obviously this isn't outright confirmation, there's a DVD of The Wheel in Space coming out which has been confirmed to not have any animation on it for example.

I think 'confirmed' might be overstating Wheel's animation status. Macra is rumoured to be an animation, just as Wheel is rumoured to be a recon. But there's nothing official either way, as far as I have seen.

Yes, I edited it out as the BFI website finally loaded and I was able to check the website for entries of ME, I realised that there are entries for every ME. I saw tweets which were talking 'bout the Amazon page also showing Screenshots of MT Ep.2's BFI Entry, so I mentioned that in brackets 'till I was able to look it up myself and edit it out. Too late, seemingly, but I edited it before I received Richard's answer

Obviously the BBC aren't going to comment on it until a full blown announcement, but when somebody connected to the animation team says there's something in the works and it isn't Wheel I'm going with them on it.

'The Macra Terror' looks very hopeful then for a DVD release. Likely animated and sadly not found. Nevermind, we have the original soundtrack and I love animations anyway.

It seems confirmed and not just hopeful. I just pre-ordered my copy of The Macra Terror DVD. Yesterday, I pre-ordered my copy of The Wheel in Space DVD. I'm expecting to receive them ... ? ? ? ... eventually.

One idiot has already given the DVD a one star rating simply because the Doctor is played by a man.

Now, the animation, which is to be shown on the MBW event in December, seems to be confirmed as a 10 minutes Wheel in Space 1 animation for an future DVD. WiS was the other story besides MT rumored to get a DVD release. Now, there are a few possibilities, assuming that both DVD releases are coming: -both being animated -MT being animated, while WiS will be a reconstruction (as it's been rumored) and the 10min animation is just a bonus. -both being just reconstructions and of course -the unlikely possibility, that MT or WiS have seen (partly or for MT maybe even complete) recoveries. (Though of course being the outturn most wished for, I very much doubt that) As far as I understood, the 10min animation is a stand alone for the MBW event and not a teaser for a larger animation and as I doubt any recoveries I guess MT will be animated for DVD and WiS will see a recon-DVD with the animation as bonus, though without any further information on MT, it coukd also be a recon. PV commented on twitter about the Amazon listing for MT, saying: "It hasn't been found, if that's what you mean. It's one of the least likely ones to be found." When asked if the listing is wrong, he replied: "I don't know. I have no idea what it is.".
