Last night, I dreamt that I was searching through a pile of film cans. I've never had a dream like this before, but I came across a film print of The Wheel in Space #4 alongside some other missing material which included the original Kitten Kong episode of The Goodies, dated 1971. Sadly, I didn't get to 'see' them.
I have previously dreamt of the Dalek battle on Skaro from The Evil of the Daleks #7. The shots I saw included a Dalek which caved in on itself, the silver Daleks entering the Emperor's chamber and firing at the black Daleks, and the explosion of the Emperor before smoke and darkness filled the room. In particular, the metallic tubing which comprised the set walls was very authentic when I compared it with the tele-snaps afterwards.
Has anyone else had dreams of finding or watching missing episodes? Which ones were they, and what can you remember of them?

All the time; particularly Web and Snowmen.

I dream of a time when people stop posting nonsense on this forum! Haha! Jolly good! Not my dream, but an ex from when I was a teenager (a long time ago in a distant land) used to hear me waffle about missing who from time to time. One morning we socially aware and she told me that she had a dream that 'silent era' who had been recovered and they actually weren't any good at all, but I was still really excited about it I must have waffled on about who more than I realised to actually give her dreams about it, lol..................

I dream of a time when people stop posting nonsense on this forum! In what way is trying to share other people's experiences of a similar situation 'nonsense'? It's a subject entirely relevant to this forum.

I dreamed that that every episode of triangle was missing.
Pity it was only a dream.

I would not denigrate anyone's dreams and recollections when prompted in sleep or by the recons. IMHO, your memories on specific details are more accurate than you might think.
For instance, I remembered The Beatles' performance of "Hey Jude" that I once saw when I was 3. (My brother was born about a year later, when I was 4, so I am quite certain of my age.) I remembered specifically that there was a Sikh guy with a dark beard and mustache who was dressed in a reddish turban, dark suit, dark tie, and a white shirt in the audience. Over the years, I often dreamt about him and how happy I felt about seeing him.
More than 45 years later, Apple Records' YouTube channel for The Beatles posted the same performance on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_MjCqQoLLA). At 4:09, the Sikh guy appears exactly as I remembered him.

Addendum: Honestly, if I had the wherewithal (i.e., money and time), I would poll every Doctor Who fan alive who saw the original versions of the missing episodes and try to reach a consensus on what happened between each telesnap. Then I would have people walk through them as if they were performing the episodes, and do what was done for "The Power of the Daleks" myself for everything left. That is how much trust I have in those dreams and memories when people are prompted with the recons.

Not sure how accurate memories would be, especially as many of us would have been quite young, not to mention the passage of time. One of my older brothers still recalls watching the first ever episode ... and remembers clearly that The Doctor was a science teacher who built his TARDIS ...

That is, without a shadow of a doubt, the craziest idea for plugging the gaps in the archives I have ever heard. *long pause* Can we get a fund going?

It's a subject entirely relevant to this forum. It really isn't you know. So a thread about dreams of missing episodes somehow isn't related to missing episodes? By that logic, do conversations have nothing to do with language? I'm interested to know what other people have to say on this despite your protestations.

As you're asking for honest opinions ... this thread is not too atypical of many we've seen in recent years. Not my idea of fun and I think this forum would be better without them. But then I'm not as obsessive about Who as a great many others, and if this is how people enjoy spending their time ... The FMs obviously see no issue with such threads. But then only a week ago, someone launched an offensive slur on Phil Morris, the man who has done so much for the recovery of missing episodes, and the FMs didn't have an issue with that either.
