As for Dame Sybil Thorndike .. according to the government and insurance companies - we only lived till we were 42 in the 60s ..and we are living much longer today so we cannot afford to keep you LOL Right!...that's it outside now!!!..(tee hee) ....thanks for cheering me up Peter

The Disc and Music Echo dated 4th Jan 1969 has an interview with Julie Driscoll in it she mentions that when she and the Brian Auger Trinity were on the Eamonn Andrews show to promote "Road to Cairo" the studio microphones failed so Julie was obliged to talk to Eamonn (in no uncertain terms, it seemed to viewers!)
Anybody know when this appearance was so that I can add it to the running list? thanks

Julie Driscoll appeared on ‘The Eamonn Andrews Show’ on 14 November 1968, so that’s probably the night when the studio microphones failed. According to the 45cat website, ‘Road to Cairo’ was released as a single on 27 September 1968.

Very interesting. Eamonn Andrews was a very good interviewer who knew exactly how to draw out information from his guests.
