Does anyone on here have a copy of a Kenneth Williams interview he did at Radio 2 on 24/12/87 ?
I am in the process of producing a national radio documentary featuring rare audio from the Carry On stars.
We have confirmed several exciting finds. However, I'd dearly love to find a copy of this KW interview.
It was with Gloria Hunniford on her afternoon show. Would be very grateful, regardless of quality of recording.
Ta!
My email is richard.latto@bbc.co.uk

You mean its not in the dusty archives? Shame.
Have you tried to contact Steve Arnold, host of the Kenneth Williams Appreciation Society web site?

Thanks to Lawrence for these corrections, he said:
"I thought the b'cast dates for this series looked a bit wrong. I've looked them up in the Genome. It's the latter half dozen which have been garbled."
"I've included the first series details but omitted its repeat later in the year. The 'More Secret Life of Kenneth Williams' series was b'cast Tuesdays and repeated two days later the same week - I've included both b'casts in my listing."

The moot points are should these be made available to 1/ no-one, 2/ folks here, 3/ OTR enthusiasts, and/or 4/ the wider public? And if so how?

Whilst our collective does not have this particular episode, we did send you an amount of lost or wiped recordings of Williams that the BBC does not now have. We were pleased to help especially to get back to the BBC recordings it had lost or wiped. But we did not receive any acknowledgement or thanks from you. So what's the point in trying to help?

Stephen you do realise that you must be willing to sell your house and all its contents to help the BBC?

Hi Stephen Apologies I didn't see your message here and was confused with all the files you sent me out of the blue. Do email me a contact number to richard.latto@bbc.co.uk as I'd be delighted to discuss getting any missing material back to the archive. The specific show I've been working on was concerned purely with other KW material. Now that is all done I'd be delighted to look at this material you've kindly shared. Best wishes Richard
