As I couldn't find one elsewhere, I've attempted to put together an episode guide for "Unforgettable", the TV series shown on Channel 4 (& prior to that briefly on Thames TV) in the early '80s. It isn't quite complete, as I have performances by Chris Andrews & Middle Of The Road from this show... does anyone have broadcast date(s) for these? Anyone else missing?
THAMES TV, 1981:
6th January, 1981 (Dave Berry / The Swinging Blue Jeans) 13th January 1981 (The Merseybeats / Jigsaw) 20th January 1981 (Billy J. Kramer / Craig Douglas) 27th January 1981 (Frank Ifield / Marty Wilde) 3rd February 1981 (Don Lang / Marmalade) 17th February 1981 (The Fortunes / The Foundations)
CHANNEL 4, Series One:
9th November, 1982 (Acker Bilk / Freddie & The Dreamers) 16th November 1982 (The Troggs / Julie Rogers) 23rd November 1982 (The Nashville Teens / P.J. Proby) 30th November 1982 (The Bachelors / The Fourmost) 7th December 1982 (Lonnie Donegan / Mungo Jerry) 14th December 1982 (Gerry & The Pacemakers / Brotherhood Of Man) 21st December 1982 (Edison Lighthouse / Christie / Love Affair / Pinkerton’s Assorted Colours) 6th January 1983 (The Rubettes / Clarence ‘Frogman’ Henry) 13th January 1983 (The Swinging Blue Jeans / Billy J. Kramer) 20th January 1983 (Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich) 27th January 1983 (The Crystals / Ronnie Hilton) 3rd February 1983 (Billy Fury) 10th February 1983 (The Searchers / Susan Maughan / The Bootleg Beatles) 17th February 1983 (The Equals / Chris Farlowe) 24th February 1983 (The Fortunes / Craig Douglas) 3rd March 1983 (The Tremeloes / Dave Berry) 10th March 1983 (The Caravelles / Marmalade) 17th March 1983 (Vanity Fare / The Ivy League) 24th March 1983 (The Merseybeats / The Foundations) 31st March 1983 (White Plains / Clodagh Rodgers)
CHANNEL 4, Series Two:
8th July 1983 (Bo Diddley / Mud) 15th July 1983 (Wayne Fontana / Crispian St Peters) 22nd July 1983 (Brian Poole / The Platters) 29th July 1983 (Georgie Fame / Helen Shapiro) 5th August 1983 (Mark Wynter / The Glitter Band) 12th August 1983 (Desmond Decker / The Rockin’ Berries) 19th August 1983 (Chicory Tip / Kathy Kirby) 26th August 1983 (Ronnie Carroll / The Four Pennies) 2nd September 1983 (The Allisons / The New Vaudeville Band) 30th December 1983 [CHRISTMAS SPECIAL] (The Beverley Sisters / Clive Dunn) 31st December 1983 [SWINGTIME SPECIAL] (Rosemary Clooney / Denis Lotis)

I saw The Nolans listed below DDDBM&T here, not noticing it's a different show (I'll re-edit my post): www.tvpopdiaries.co.uk/1983.htmlIncidentally, apparently the 1986 shows were taped in 1982 or 1983 but for some reason not broadcast until several years later.

Yes I do seem to remember a few episodes of unforgettable being shown some time after the series had been off the screen for a good while ,I must admitt though I didnt think it was that many years inbetween, but I can definitely say that they would have been recorded at the same time as the last series in 1983 ,because all the dancers apperances ,hairstyles etc ,were the same in 1986 as they were in 83 ,plus lipstick had long disbanded by then ,choreographer libby roberts had a new set of dancers by 1986.

I have found another appearance from this show that isn't on the list, presumably from December 1983: The Barron Knights performing 'The Masochistic And Sadistic Hospital Song' & 'Christmas Party'.
Although a bit cheap & tacky looking, in retrospect this show is important: for many of the performers this was their first (& sometimes last!) major TV appearance in many years, & looking back now everyone still looks very youthful!
For fans of The Tremeloes, this was also (I think) the first time in over a decade that the classic 1967-1972 line-up were fully reunited on TV (they stayed together until 1988 when Chip Hawks left to manage his son Chesney's career).

I think Unforgettables has kinda disappeared because there was a union issue around it - it might have been made with non-union staff which caused a stink when it was discovered... And why it hasn't been repeated. Apologies if I'm wrong but that's what I remember.

I recently treated myself to The Kaleidoscope Light Entertainment Guide, & I was a bit surprised to find that the show is not among it's 2834 pages.

Have you thought about doing a list featuring the songs the artists sang on each show peter ,I know it maybe a bit of a hard task ,but it would be very interesting ,for those who are trying to track down a singer or groups tv performance ,especially some of the classic acts that appeared on unforgettable.I can remember a lot of the songs that the dancers performed to ,but what editions they came from ,is a different story.

Far too busy with other research right now. I do have quite a lot of these (probably 60-70%) on various tapes & discs though, so maybe when I've more time. Most acts of course did their 1 or 2 most obvious songs. The only artists I can recall who did more than 2 songs are Gerry & the Pacemakers (3) & Billy Fury (4), though latter was a tribute show after he died.
