According to Doctor Who Online. The Special Edition will have the following: Remastered episodes. Even though all episodes were restored in 2013 for the previous DVD release, Peter Crocker from the Restoration Team is using advances in technology since then to go over each one with a fine tooth comb to ensure they are now presented in the best possible quality for this special edition. · “Treasures Lost and Found” - produced by Ed Stradling. With so much information now available about every Doctor Who serial, it's not easy to learn anything new, so Toby Hadoke embarks on an exciting treasure hunt to find out all he can about the production. Along the way he'll interview some of the cast and crew including Frazer Hines, Mary Peach and David Troughton - who made his first TV appearance in this serial as an extra. · “Recovering the Past – The Search for The Enemy of the World” - produced by Paul Vanezis. A brand new interview with the episode hunter Philip Morris, we hear how he tracked down the last surviving film copy of the serial to a dusty room in the African desert. · “Remembering Deborah Watling” - produced by Cameron McEwan. Family, friends and colleagues pay tribute to Debbie Watling who played Victoria Waterfield, companion to Patrick Troughton’s doctor. · Audio commentaries on all six episodes produced by John Kelly. Contributors include Frazer Hines, Mary Peach, Gordon Faith, Milton Johns and Sylvia James. Moderator is Simon Harries. · Production subtitles on all six episodes written by Martin Wiggins. · Photo gallery produced by Derek Handley. · Scripts of all six episodes as PDFs. Utterly, utterly brilliant. Can't wait!

WOF SE can't be far off as well, with an animated/recovered/telesnap episode 3.Interesting to note that this edition will give a different slant on the above listed interview with Philip Morris-the recovery, circumstances leading up to it's disappearance and hoped for recovery of episode 3.Unfortunately I think it will be a tele-snap representation of this episode on the SE.

So will this be released in America too, or just the UK?

So will this be released in America too, or just the UK? Currently Region 2 only. I’m sure we’ll get our Region 1 soon enough.

I do hope they don't release a SE Web of Fear unless they include a recovered ep3. Otherwise, what's the point? If it's out there, and Phil Morris knows who has it then far better to negotiate to get it back before anything else.

I’m sad that a remake of the original trailer for Enemy won’t be on there. I know it wasn’t much and didn’t contain original content, but I like hearing the original bbc announcer.
I don’t think the trailer they made for its recovery is on there either.
That being said, I love what is on there!
I’m curious to know what the PM interview will contain. Those of us on these message boards know a lot of the details, but not all of them. I’m curious to know if new info will come to light: If this is Phil telling his story. Even if not, the interview will be fascinating to hear.
I really can’t wait for Region 1!

Looking back I reckon that the reason for Enemy being out on DVD first was that they were still hoping to get WOF3 back.

OMG, if WOF3 is not going to be on WOF SE dvd then what's it ever going to be on? Someone please prise it out of the hands of that fan, whoever they may be. If the hands of the 'fan' belong to Phil Morris, then it's in safe hands, and will undoubtedly come back to us as was the case with the other WOF episodes.
It would also hopefully mean one of the extras is Phil telling the story of WOF3 going walkies, or maybe it's too early days yet to tell that full story?

They might do a special edition of The Web of Fear with all the extras that The Enemy of the World is getting with an animated episode 3. After all they did animate all 6 episodes of Power of the Daleks and Shada.
on the other hand as a special edition of The Web of Fear has not been announced its also possible there not doing a Special Edition at all

I'm getting used to full colour animations which in my opinion are superior and belong to a world of their own.

To me the color Power of the Daleks does not look right. I have not yet purchased SHADA as I will wait for the full episode 6 parter to be released in 2022

That makes me happy!!! Is the trailer they made to announce the recovery in 2013 on there? (Probably the last thing most people would care about, but I’m curious to see what they put in this)

Let's hope we see a Region 1 release!!! Hmm, I do see a September 4, 2018 Region 1 release of Shada .. I assume we knew about that already. I'd guess then, than we won't see Enemy for a while. Oh well, the UK releases are higher quality anyway, with 576i instead of 480i.

No one has actually announced a WOF SE at all, you know.
I think we might be jumping to conclusions.
