Somebody had a home recording of The Space Pirates episode 2, kind of annoying he had the one surviving episode of an otherwise missing story. Yep:-( iirc other episodes from the same era had been recorded - but didn't survive:-( Proves that it's possible - but I wouldn't take a trip to William Hill or Ladbrokes on the strength of it ! Somebody had a tape labelled Evil Of The Daleks but someone had taped over it!

Do we know what was taped over it and whether or not the tape was erased before rerecording, because if it was directly overwritten by a shorter program then it might be possible to recover a little bit of the end, albeit in very poor quality.

They had tapes that were labelled with the dates that corresponded with the Evil repeat, but these had been fully recorded over with the 1968 repeats of The Forsyth Saga.

Ah, thanks, I couldn't quite remember the specifics.
