Don't worry I always check the entire contents of every tape.

Can you say what you have found so far? From the Philips stuff, since I re-started 10 days ago, there's: Part of a missing Song For Europe show which Gordon Roxburgh will be telling people about on his Eurovision FB page. A 10min missing Swap Shop clip, very interesting, which I'll talk about at some point. Loads of 70s adverts! Intros for a few series 1 Blake's 7 episodes (they started with voiceover recaps). An unsyphered Hitch Hikers part 1 which included the Dr Who titles in the 'O' until they changed the tunnel effect (that may exist, not sure) A couple of studio recordings of The Borgias. I assume all the ATV Muppet broadcasts exist?

Just alerting you that over on UK Vintage Radio Repair, a Youtube poster has found a "carload" of N1500 and N1700 recordings he's trying to transfer to digital. The thread is "N1500, N1700 tapes help".

They turn up fairly regularly on ebay and other places. However what the chances are of something missing I couldn't say.

He is the guy who bought the large lot off eBay from last year and is now regretting it.

Just to let people know, I've found, from an off-air UMatic recording, an almost-complete edition of Clapperboard, missing just the opening titles and the first maybe 10 seconds of Chris Kelly's introduction. TX 02/01/78, it was essentially the highlights of their 1977 shows, most of which also appear to be missing.
It includes excerpts from the following: Nickelodeon - Peter Bogdanovich interview Silver Streak - Arthur Hiller interview Gulliver's Travels - Michael Stringer interview The Spy Who Loved Me - Roger Moore & Cubby Broccoli interviews A Bridge Too Far - Richard Attenborough interview Disney - Wolfgang Reitherman interview

Just bouncing this up the thread - I just found 13 mins of Swap Shop TX 31/1/81 on a Philips tape. Mat Irvine talks us through some of the models for the Dr Who serial "Warriors' Gate" and goes over the latest swaps with Noel Edmonds.

Sounds like a nice thing for DW fans, they'll probably forgive you for writing "Dr." - I understand that's a faux pas for whovians.
