THE NATIVE HUE OF RESOLUTION
(KICKSTARTER DVD PROJECT)
I got this e-mail message from Christopher Perry on the 6th August regarding the Kickstarter DVD project 'The Native Hue of Resolution'
"It's finished, at the replicators, will return first week of September and we are launching it on the 12th September. Copies will be sent out week after for anyone who doesn't get to the event." All sorted mate.
Has anyone received their copy of the dvd yet? or has there been another delay?

I posted the following on Roobarb's yesterday evening and have just put it up on the Kaleidoscope Facebook group, so am reposting here for anyone who hasn't had a chance to read it in either of those places.

Ok, update - I've now heard back from Chris Perry. He's actually trying to make the best of a really quite horrible chain of events in his personal life right now and has been pretending that things were better than they are - he's far more stressed and upset than I think people realise. As you may have heard, he's had to leave his job at Big Centre TV to make way for a new management team and a new owner, but as a result of this, a lot of his personal stuff is in limbo as the new owners argue about what belongs to whom in the office.
Unfortunately, it turns out that the original batch of Native Hue DVDs is one of the things that is currently caught up in this, which means the first batch are currently "out of bounds" to him, and part of the reason for the delay is that Chris has been trying to negotiate their "freedom". However, rather than let this drag on even further, he has agreed to order another 500 Native Hue discs as a matter of urgency, and he is acutely aware of the need to get them out to people as quickly as possible. Indeed, he wanted them all sent out before MBW on the 13th of December. Suffice it to say, he sounded incredibly embarrassed about the whole situation, particularly after the earlier delays, but I am convinced that he is genuinely trying to rectify things and do right by everybody.
So that's where it's up to. It's a major bugger that the discs weren't ready early enough to avoid getting snarled up in all this, but hopefully it won't be too much longer...
Sorry I can't be the bearer of better news...

Thank you for the update Rob, I'm sorry to hear of the news regarding Chris, I hope things get better for him
Meanwhile I'd glad to hear that a new batch of the dvd's have been ordered. Hopefully it won't take long for the dvd's to be distributed to the people like me who have been waiting patiently for them.

Has anyone received their copy of the dvd yet? My DVD set arrived this afternoon. Two dual-layered discs crammed full of rarities. The main feature has been extended by 15 minutes to include additional missing footage and the Phil Morris interview. There are two hours of extras on disc one, and many more hours on disc two of both audio and video recoveries. A 20 page booklet is also included. It may be a year and a half later than originally promised but Chris and the team have certainly over-delivered on the content...

Bitterly disappointing that what seemed to be an homage to Hue Lloyd wasn't.
(Hee hee).
