Number 339 I Don't See Why
the bfi has a filmographic record for this, currently with no holding, it says
1968-03-12 Discussion of issues raised by the preceding week's documentary
Tuesday 12 March 9.0 -10.0 pm I Don't See Why...a woman can't be married and
still remain an individual! I've been told that I want my cake and eat it - and I always
wonder why I can't. Men do...I think there are tremendous injustices and obstacles
in the way of a woman who wants to have a job of her own. And I think that these
do spring from a general belief that we ought not to want to have them. And I don't
see why, I don't see why'.
Women - and men - discuss with Jenny Hughes and each other the questions
raised in last week's documentary on women and marriage, Happily Ever After.
