So are we any closer to identifying if Talking Pictures do actually have two recovered episodes (or did they mistake the Roy Orbison/Seekers/Tarbie one for a "new" one, so do they have one new one or not. If they do have two, are they different from the two Kal ones (Kate Smith/M&W and, I think, Fess Parker/Dave Allen/Nureyev/Dickie Henderson)? I've been trying to check the current TVBrain listing with Ray's historic one, but so far with no luck!

TPTV said at the finish of the Orbison/Seekers one that that was the last one they were showing.

If you're interested they have a Facebook page and respond to questions.

I'm so not into Facebook and Twitter. I can only log-on to send an email every few months; too afraid to read any. It's very frustrating, but if anybody elso would get in touch with Talking Pictures, I'd very much appreciate it.

I've dropped them an enquiry

Not got a response. Given the mixed signals over the Roy Orbison episode, I'm gonna reluctantly call it and say they didn't have two missing episodes. Unfortunately.

It's an incomplete episode that's on the dvds I haven't got the set anymore. How much of the show survives?

It's been on TPTV a couple of times, fits the hour slot ok and the acts are all there IIRC,so it may have been contemporary items cut which would make no sense abroad or on a repeat run?
The amusing thing on this show is the way the microphone sheepishly slides down to half length when Mario Lanza comes on as if it is scared of him LOL

If they'd shown a little initiative, they could have combined it with The Golden Shot. "Left a little..Right a little...".

Just read a Daily Mirror article.
By September 65 the show was taped. Performers could see themselves an hour after performing. Apparantly regions liked showing it an hour later.

Again. Survives and on DVD set, John. Given the recent furore about the (non)missing No Hiding Place and their strange statement this week about what they're calling a supposed "lost" episode of US series The Detectives, I have little faith in their previous statements about finding two "missing" palladium shows, sadly.
