Just to exclude it-'My Wife the Dancer' was performed on The Dean Martin Show in 1970.Not broadcast in the UK,I suppose? I believe Engelbert also sang it some UK shows. Engelbert and the Young Generation and his guest appearance on Cilla being the most likely.

This is my first time on this forum and have just come across something called "Ronnie's 39 Tapes". What are these? Where are these? And when can we get to see them as they're almost too good to be true!

It all sounds very interesting and if it's true this seems like a really rare find.

I am currently assisting someone with his interpretation of my list in order to try and achieve a more accurate record. So far, these are my updates - Tape 1 Listened to the CD and - After the Alan Price act the dj says 'Alan Price at the piano this wk and..'.The dj before Dandy Livingstone sounds like Jimmy Saville. The reason why I thought T Rex was an end sequence was because Saville introduces this record by saying 'now then, at no14 in the charts is T Rex with Children of the Revolution.... what a way to make a living ladies and gentlemen.Well it so happens that after this record, wot do you expect me to do except say goodnight, thank you' ...then T Rex start singing
Listening to the CDs - I have reviewed Tape 33 and I am now sure that the dates for the New Seekers and also T Rex acts are from 4/1/73 as Jimmy Saville stated the the T Rex song was at no2 in the charts. Not sure of the New Seekers date on Tape 11 but DJ says after the clip 'Welcome back to TOTP' (not sure of the dj voice at present.

Can I ask, were screenshots ever posted of these recordings? Have they been transferred?

I saved a few still images that Ronnie posted of a Lift Off playback, I think he used the machine they were recorded on for this. But as far as I know the tapes are still in limbo, with questions of commercial value and the difficulty of making permanent digital copies clouding the issue.
