Seems to be a two person bidding war going on for them at the moment. I was thinking of putting in a snipe bid but if there's already someone on this forum bidding on them (or planning to bid on them) let us know as I don't want to push up the price unnecessarily.

Yeah, VCR was the official name. That's the very first model I think, with the analogue clock. It's a lottery ticket, really, in the sense that it might be a missing show, but only if you're extremely lucky. Might still be worth simply asking the seller if it's known what's on the tapes (are they marked) or how many they are? Who knows, the buyer might not be interested in the tapes, but only be after the machines.

My maximum bid for these was nowhere near what other bidders were prepared to pay!
Let's hope they've gone to a good home...

My maximum bid for these was nowhere near what other bidders were prepared to pay! Let's hope they've gone to a good home... £104.50. As often seems to be the case with such items, the bidder is given as (private),with no mention of feedback rating, although the latter is given for the under-bidders?

Whoever bid £104.50 bid for these items doesn't appear to have collected them, as they've just been relisted by the original seller: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171716921943Let's see what they go for this time...

Seems a lot of these Philips VCR related auctions are being shilled to the max recently, theres a right number being pulled at the moment on some tapes

Someone's trying to sell another N1500 on eBay for £170.00. He doesn't even know whether it works as it doesn't come with a power lead (although aren't they just universal kettle leads?) Surely for that price you'd want to know it works first! ! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201302827864I see the pair of N1500s has sold again, for £102 this time - I wonder if they will get relisted again...
