This deserves a thread on its' own, as it is not a youtube finds, nor a find lurking in an archive.
I am receiving three copies of this show on the weekend from a collector.
The 14th April and 19th May are two of the shows in question.
The other is either from 21th April or 5th May 1979, we still haven't managed to date it.
I advisedly say 'we'. This involves two rather well-known and esteemed members of Kaleidoscope!
""Missing or incomplete episodes for programme THE MASTERSPY.
Series 3 21.04.79 Show 12 (missing) 05.05.79 Show 3 (missing)""
(please note that the sequence of shows on lostshows.com is out of sequence, this is not my error!!!!)
So, basically, one more show has been found!

I think the Show 3 and Show 12 references the recording order and titles given at the time. They were shown out of sequence.

nwfaunionsearch.mmu.ac.uk/search.dhtml?fl.text=masterspy&fl.online=The TV show Clive James introduces a programme about general knowledge shows and their appeal, with clips of UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE, WINNER TAKES ALL, SALE OF THE CENTURY, MASTERMIND, MASTER GAME, MASTERSPY, IT.... Maybe a clip from a missing episode there, or at least better format.

Maybe a clip from a missing episode there, or at least better format. It's quite likely it is. Bear in mind though there are missing episodes of University Challenge, Sale of the Century and Mastermind too, all of which could fall within the period.

Still heard nothing definite on that. I would loathe to deal with the relatives of sadly deceased actors for fear of upsetting them; that's one thing I haven't done yet. :/

I thought Gareth Randall said at a Missing Believed Wiped that William Franklyn held them all as off-air copies, Betamax I thought he said.
