I'm trying to clarify an episode number or transmission date for this. I've visited a couple episode guides for Supersonic, and don't see the Supremes listed as appearing, but I've spoken to several people who remember seeing them perform "He's My Man", and I'm almost sure I've seen a still photo from the performance. This website lists them... but the guest list doesn't match up with any of the episodes I've seen listed on other guides. Could someone help clear this up for me? This is where they are listed: www.tvguide.com/detail/tv-show.aspx?tvobjectid=440987&more=ucepisodelist&episodeid=1037950

That information is wrong at the BFI, either that or the BFI have the wrong date attached.
11/09/1975 (transmitted in some regions on 13/09/1975) features Chris Spedding Pearly Gates Jack the Lad Albert Hammond Hollies Marianne Faithfull Nazereth Source: ITN Source
The reference for the BFI tape is SUPERSONIC (13.9.75) Item - C-1150246- VHS cassette If anyone wants to check.

That's what has been so confusing to me, In a couple of the Supersonic episode guides, I don't see any episodes with that lineup, of Guys N dolls, Supremes, Leo Sayer, Smokey, and Showaddywaddy. however... I suppose this is supposed to be the Showaddywaddy performance from that episode:

There are numerous clips like this one which don't appear on the 'official' archive listings. They are either outtakes that were never included or there were a few shows, when they were repeated during the week, would have extended editions which may have included clips like this, but they no longer exist in the ITV archives. Obviously, the only way to find out if the Supremes clip is one of these is to view the BFI VHS tape.

But I thought all episodes existed, except one?

But I thought all episodes existed, except one? Yes that's right, but the extended versions don't. It seems that ITV only 'saved' the standard versions. My guess would be that 13/09/1975 is the extended version of 11/09/1975, and the BFI have the extended part.

Here is a still photo from what I think is that performance, or perhaps the rehearsal. Of course, I could be dead wrong, too.
