I watched this series as a youngster. It started off quite seriou but got rather silly towards the end of its run when Steve and Jenny were replaced by the character played by Arthur White. Judy Robinson played Jenny and David Munro played Steve., David Munro went on to star in Tightrope with Spencer Banks and then became a TV director of factual programmes . He also presented a schools programme. Sadly I believe that he is no longer with us. ...but I could be wrong.

All I'm going to add at this point is query whether the show was repeated?
My memory (of a scene in 'Crane' style featuring the first two assistants); sounds very much like the first series. I didn't recall the later 'Moosh' character assistant at all. This is confusing as memory suggests it was round about the time 'the Move' had a hit with 'Blackberry way' (Dec 1968 - Jan 69).
I think probably something in the song may have associated to the day I saw this episode. It seems odd as I can't imagine Thames would repeat a Rediffusion series; and by December 68 'Orlando' would definitely have finished altogether, or been episodes with 'Moosh' in them!

As far as i recall the last episode transmitted in the summer of 1968 . I don't think Thames took up the series ?
It changed from a quite serious offspring of Crane (as Ian K McLachlan said ) to a jolly, tongue in cheek hokum with wacky characters. Arthur White played 'Shish Kebab'.
I think this change happened when Windsor Davies and Ronnie Stevens were cast as villains in one of the adventures?
That is, if i remember correctly?
hope that helps?

The name 'Moosh' was quoted in something I read.
