This is some pretty serious news. Silent era recoveries are always good, but this one has to rate as being in the first league of importance. Thanks for the info!

Incredible, best silent find since the complete Metropolis. Let's hope that more of Greed turns up at some point too. It just shows, time isn't necessarily a bar to making finds. Just amazing.

One of the many things I like about this is that when you read in an old interview someone saying how much they loved,or loathed, this film,we'll be able to judge their response against our own objective (humph) view.

Let's hope it's good. At IMDB,17 users gave it a disappointing 3.8 of of 10.(Before it was discovered).

I hope my memory's that sharp after 98 years! Though they'd have been quite young when they saw it...

This is an incredibly amazing find. I doing an enemy-web happy dance on this one.
I was unaware that this is a full 90 minute production rather than a typical one reeler
If it was coming to nyc, id be there:) Sadly I'm going to have to wait for the dvd.
Hopefully the missing lux radio theater where gillette plays Sherlock Holmes for an hour radio broadcast can have the same magic performed:)
