I hope darcysmart won't mind me making the season 6 poll, as I've not done one in a while, and this will probably be the last in the series. I thought I created this series of polls, its only fitting that I finish them.
Also, this poll is a day early but as today marks one year of being on this forum for me, I'm doing it as a sort of celebration.
Anyway, for me its the Invasion all the way!

The Invasion is my favourite story as well. I enjoyed the on location scenes and that the story was set in contemporary times.
Congrats on your first year on this forum.

Hmm, it's a difficult one this. Whilst the stories are nowhere near as good as those in the previous season, they are of a similarly uniform standard. If I was voting for a single episode I would have no hesitation in voting for 'the mind robber' episode one, which is, in my opinion as good as Troughton got and sits there with the very best surviving episodes of his era. The rest of that story does not quite approach near that high mark again. For overall quality and enjoyability I am voting for the Krotons. It is the best story from this season on a variety of levels. It's 4 episode duration helps it too. The invasion is an excellent story, but I think it occasionally meanders; doesn't detract from my viewing pleasure though. The space pirates, I suspect, is rather poorly served by the only existing episode. I have a suspicion that some of the later episodes in the story would have been a lot more satisfying. This season would have benefited from having less episodes per story in general and maybe an extra 4 parter made with those episodes reclaimed from somewhat overly long stories. It is a good season, but not quite season 5 good

The Invasion... Not my favorite season and chalk and cheese compared to season 5 I agree.. Most stories seem padded and even though only 1 episode of space Pirates exist, and EOTW showed that 1 episode can give a story a poor reputation unfairly, for me Milo Clancy goes down as some of the worst acting, most annoying caracter, of the whole run of DW. The recon is by far my least favorite recon, due nearly entirely to Milo Clancy.

I voted for "The Invasion."
As several people noted, this season has some excellent individual episodes that stick out more than usual. Episode 1 of "The Mind Robber," Episode 6 and 8 of "The Invasion," Episode Five of "The Seeds of Death," Episode Five of "The Space Pirates," and Episodes Nine and Ten of "The War Games" stand out for me. IMHO, "The Invasion" is the most satisfying of the bunch.

Mind Robber, War games, and Seeds of Death are great also, but its hard to top Invasion. Troughton, UNIT, and cybermen all directed by Douglas Camfield (my favorite who director)
Yes it has its faults. I think the end could have had a longer climax, the cybermen dont talk, but Tobias Vaughn is a great villian for the first half, and the cybermen do their thing in the second half. .. and while sadly two episodes are missing, we have some of the best who animation to fill the missing two parts.
Big thumbs up on this one.

Invasion for me with the War Games a close second. Funnily enough I didn't really enjoy the War Games first time around probably as Pat was going, but on reviewing when it came out on VHS and then DVD I think it stands up really well.

I was thinking about this serial today.
War Games is awesome and it is fantastic that we can watch all Ten episodes of a classic story.

Invasion has never lost its appeal. The story does have its ponderous moments (hardly surprising given 200 mins running time) but it more than makes up for them with its classic 60s style thriller approach - oh so adult for a supposed family show. The trailing of the Doctor and Jamie by two flash jags from which an unknown Sgt Benton emerges sporting a Bobby Moore haircut, the sinister capsules trailed for several episodes before their contents are revealed, the reactivation of the cybermen and the attacks in the sewers...oh yes and the climatic appearance of cybermen with St Paul's in the background... I think that Season 6 looks much stronger if we exterminate The Dominators and give Space Pirates the benefit of the doubt as we have The Krotons (classic Troughton crew on top form), Seeds of Death (best Ice Warrior story), the War Games (awesome concept and delivery) and Mind Robber (clever). I vote for a re-evaluation of Season 6!

The Mind Robber for me. Wonderfully surreal first episode followed by a witty four-part story. I sometimes wish more of Doctor Who had been so 'experimental.

The Invasion, although as has been said it was a fairly lackluster final season for Troughton.

The Invasion felt more like the prequel to season 7. The War Games, however, was just plain EPIC!!!!

For some reason I find this particular season tough to evaluate. As others have noted, there is a uniform quality to it. I think that is waht makes it hard for me to choose which serial is the best. Heck, I actually like The Dominators - you just have to go with it Truth be told, I have probably watched the stories from this season more than any others. Not sure why that is, but maybe it is because it is almost complete and so the flow from one story to another is there. I do tend to favor Troughton and Hartnell in my viewing habits, so that is probably also a factor. Jeez, why is this one so had for me to pick? Alright, I'm going with Seeds of Death, followed closely by Invasion, Krotons, and War Games (all tied for 2nd), with special mention for Mind Robber, which may be the most creative story that was ever done ( episode 1 is sublime).
