This thread may be a little obscure, but does anybody remember/have info about 'Anything You Can Do' . It was a kids panel quiz show from late 60s/early 70s. Had different rounds calling for different skills. I remember the Dexterity round , where the teams had to build various and wonderful models etc. I suppose this show was an early version of the 'Krypton Factor' . It also had one of the great theme tunes ever. Sadly , probably lost forever. Any info - or even just another person who can recall it- most welcome !! Cheers

Oh yes I remember this ATV series. You are right it was a talent style show and there was some sort of panel. I recall that the young girl from Timeslip was a regular panalist. I have never seen as much as an extract since. I wonder if any survive?

Do you remember the theme tune?

It also had one of the great theme tunes ever. Annoying more like. Anything you can do, Gives you a chance to beat the rest. Anything you can do, It's your TV knockout contest. They don't write lyrics like that any more.

I agree with Parkes. In fact the title music was the main bit my memory seems to suggest I liked! Obviously the tune though as I didn't remember any words at all. I seemed to think it was around the same time as 'Ask aspel' started (1970)? Also the tune sounded similar to that, very catchy.
I've only seen one picture in an ITV year book - I think the picture I've seen has 'Clapperboard's Chris Kelly as the quizmaster. Didn't it start in 1969?
As regards the TV company ATV - they seem to mainly hold entire runs on B + W film, or nothing. However recently there was some thing about a stash of Quad format ATV videotapes being found which are; to my knowledge; still being catalogued. As regards this I saw a clip of an ATV 'Englebert Humperdinck' 1970 show which was previously listed ('Kaleidoscope' TV holdings catalogue) as being wiped. So you never know.

Parkes - The only other thing that springs to mind is a still appeared in one of the ITV year books they produced in the 60s and 70s. A friend has got some and I recall looking through and seeing a still with Chris Kelly (Clapperboard), though I didn't recall him as presenter, think it was Stewpot.
I have a couple of the ITV year books too, but can't recall whether I have the one with this still? Might be the 1970 one. I'll have a root round and if I come up with any more info I'll get back to the forum and update as soon as possible.

I've looked - I've only got the 1965 one and 1978, so it must be my friend who's got the other one, which is probably 1969 - 70 I suspect. I do recall though I've got some editions of 'Look in' which will give at least the dates, day and time it was shown. I'll let you know.
