Perhaps Amazon have misinterpreted it and it's actually "just" the 1980 drama sequences without the educational bits? But it does say "newly created" so perhaps BFI found another copy of the original? Anyway let's wait and see I'm not sure why people didn't take note of my previous post but I'll say it once more to be perfectly clear: the 1971 version does NOT exist. The DVD includes an option to view the 1971 story sequences (which are all that exist of that version) as a continuous stream. The 1980 episodes are also included IN FULL though, including the educational bits.

I seem to have missed all 197 of these shows on first broadcast.

Perhaps Amazon should have just put what BFI put on their website: "Specially-prepared, uninterrupted version of the original drama sequences"

Yes, I wouldn't rely too much on an Amazon blurb though. They'll just grab and paste from wherever until details are properly announced.

There's a general feeling that extras on this are yet to be set.People are hoping there's time for them to take on suggestions, such as including the text of the textbook.
Added: Boblet at the MC mentions that there were two booklets, with slightly different text in the 1980 reprint. Amazon have a "subject to change" note on the DVD extras.

May I ask what the "MC" is please?

May I ask what the "MC" is please? Why, "master of ceremonies", of course! What else could it be?

It tends to happen with the bfi's covers; I'm still waiting for The Changes' to change.
