I enjoyed the old layout, but am willing to give this one a chance. But why should I register - just another bloody name and password to remember. Just about everything on the internet wants you to 'Register' so you can 'Login', whether you are looking at holiday sites or trying to get an insurance quote. Why?

Buggered if I know - tried to register under my old handle and was disallowed.
Also had a sinister message about my having a pop-up stopper enabled and I couldn't register because of it!
Will stick to the old anonymous handle for the time being.
Good luck to the new forum.

PS - the clock is wrong. Might be missing out on interesting posts here!
(07.53 = 00.53)

If you register, you can amend the clock to your own time. For what it's worth, I think this is a much better set-up than the old forum.

The main advantage is to the webmaster; the SOTCAA Forum, for example, had to be temporarily taken down because of "unattributable" remarks.

The main advantages to registering are that it reduces identity theft (something we used to have a lot of trouble with) you can set the clock, you`ll know which threads have new posts and you`ll be able to use the personal message system.
Of course you don`t have to register f you don`t want to but it is there if you want.
