Thanks for the info Mike , i certainly won't be buying this now , what a shame and unusual for something that Keith Badman has reviewed and i wonder why all the footage is cropped to 16.9 , i can't understand why this is .

I don't know if anyone here is aware of the new Kinks Dvd just being released , called Kinks Kollected 1964 - 1983 . It looks great just in time for xmas , it's a 20 - track Dvd spanning their entire career . Keith Badman lists some of the performences in record collector and are as follows:- You Really Got Me - The Beat Room Sunny Afternoon - [Courtesy of Belgium Tv's Vibrato] Lola - Totp Dead End Street - Promo Film Starstruck - Promo Film Apeman - Promo Film Death Of a Clown - Beat Club Susannah's Still Alive - Beat Club Autumn Almanac - Totp Wonder Boy - Totp Beat Beat Beat 1966 Performence Days - Pop Goes The 60s
Apparantly with great picture and sound quality throughout.

Ray Langstone wrote in an earlier thread .
""DEGREES OF FOLK: with The Pentangle, Dixie Ingram, Alex Duthart (1968)"" (exists)
""The excitement generated by Pentangle’s unique sound is captured near the quintet’s inception in two BBC (Degrees of Folk) performances from 1968. “Traveling Song” was actually a single, released in May 1968 (and) “Let No Man Steal Your Thyme,” with its spacey free improvisation over the 1 chord in the solo""
(from John Renbourn, rare performances 1965-1995)

Ray , i'm only a novice at this , but just typed in WHO OWNS THE TVS ARCHIVE and on zetaminor.com this came up .Apparently all of the paperwork related to pre-1993 TVS productions was skipped! Disney now own the TVS archive and won't licence anything ... hope this helps.
