Whatever happens, overseas fans have been kicked in the teeth by RTD. He has prostituted the show to Disney+ (presumably for money) - no impact on UK viewers, but for loyal viewers (and their TV channels). Its not easy to celebrate the 60th anniversary without paying a fortune to Disney. Since the beginning of the classic series, the ABC in Australia has run the show, supported it, repeated it (lots), built up a loyal viewer base, even repeated all the complete surviving stories in the 'wilderness' years, and generally been brilliant for (nearly) 60 years. Now the viewers have been ignored, the ABC has had the rug pulled out from under it, and this has probably happened to many other countries around the world who used to get free-to-air Dr Who. Curse RTD, he has ruined the 60th anniversary for me, probably millions of other people around the world, as a vanity exercise. I WILL NOT subscribe to Disney!!!

Hasn't this already been done to Enid Blyton several years ago, with the Noddy books being particularly affected. Not sure if B!g Ears still exists, but definitley the G0llyw0gs have gone.. And earlier than that (although not a childrens book), Agatha Christies 'Ten Little N***ers has also had a number of renames and words replaced for 'less offensiveness'.
