I haven't been to this forum in years. How horrible that this sad news passed me by and I have only just found out now upon my return. Apart from Rob Moss, Mark Brown was the only member here that I had meaningful contact with and, although I never met him in the real world, he was always very kind to me here. He always made me smile when replying to requests with "my life at your command", a comedic use of a quote that I "borrowed" and used at work over here on this side of the planet. It made other people smile too. Thank you for that, Mark.

Well worth getting if you can! They really improved on the 2016 release. Great job! Sorry but i don't see it as any improvement - cutting a scene in the tardis (the first time the doctor plays his recorder) ,making the doctors trousers grey instead of the check pattern in the original animation .buy the SE for the new recon and the additional extras but for me i'll be sticking with the steelbook version Really? I'd rather grey trousers than a cut scene from my favourite (and best "known") serial. Either way, if this is the case, I'd rather stick with the 2016 version.

Sorry, I don't even know what that means... Lyrics from the song What is Love? by Haddaway! Ah, right you are. I vaguely remember it coming out when I was still serving...

Invasion of the Dinosaurs: 1 could do with a bit more work (especially with the blues) but, apart from that one, it's pretty good. I didn't get to see all of Pertwee during our initial broadcasts of his era (1975 - 1977) anyway, so what we have is pretty much as good as I'm expecting to see. Yeah, the Pert is partwork but pretty good. Without the hard work of archivists such as Sue Malden and episode hunters such as Ian Levine it could weel have a been a case of 'baby Jon Pertwee...Jon Pertwee...no more...' Sorry,I've dying to post that for years. Sorry, I don't even know what that means...

I haven't seen the 2020 version of THE POWER OF THE DALEKS so had to go with the 2016 version. Either way, this story will always get my vote as it's my favourite...

I'm far from being a fan of THE CELESTIAL TOYMAKER but I think that the best candidate for animation. Its storyline and imagery would likely best suit an animated approach for visuals anyway.
Personally, I'd prefer either THE MYTH MAKERS or THE SMUGGLERS but I don't think that would happen.
I also think THE SAVAGES is a story that deserves a larger and newer audience...

Crikey! I'd long-forgotten this. I'd also forgotten I was a member here (since 2004, I think). Onya!

....the first meeting between the Dr and Lethbridge-Stewart. Didn't that first meeting happen off-screen? I'd love to see anything from Mission to the Unknown - particularly Garvey turning into a Varga, threatening Cory and Lowery. Also, the Alien Delegates...

Thanks for the above insight, Paul, that's really great, and sounds positive too. Wondering then if it would be productive, or counter-productive if tv companies were to announce a missing-episode armistice, like the police do with firearms? To be fair the BBC has offered an amnesty. On more than one occasion and continually, IIRC...

I could argue that I'd do a passable Trouty (even trained as an actor) but...
...I really don't like the idea of remakes either. Leave the era in the past where it belongs and look to the future. Animations only in lieu of the actual thing.

A " six-part episode". Interesting, I thought they were one ~22min reel with a possible splice or two for commercials?
