Missed buying it on dvd when it was available from Network and now it's prohibitively expensive with the demise of Network so I'll be watching as Usually anything with Peter Vaughan in is Usually worth watching.

A true broadcasting legend, I regret I couldn't make his recent guest appearance at a Talking Pictures TV live event - Would love to see his 70s shows repeated on BBC4.

He seems quite active in the archive world in his country - He posted this earlier "A lot happened this week, I also had to go to London to bring gold records for an upcoming exhibition but ..... the collector Fenno has also made quite a move... I've bought over 1200 original 16mm films exclusively from 60s artists such as Helen Shapiro, the Hollies, Rolling Stones, Procol Harum and so on...... I had to go to London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam for this... I'm not going to be bored this summer and I'm going to make fun because these videos all come from dusty archives and yes everything is in color! Its exclusively scopitone and cinebox movies played in movie jukeboxes ...... Lovely haul" Attachments:

I was just about to say the same The audience for this material is dwindling by the day. GET THE MATERIAL OUT COPYRIGHT HOLDERS!! As long as the horder Reelin in the Years doesn't get involved we might have a chance - Would be great if they were shared like the Midnight Special company is currently doing - Uploading full shows in nice quality.

I think the popularity of The Beatles will continue unabated, if the Get Back documentaries are anything to go by (and more to come) The new technical AI process that Peter Jackson has used on the audio (and video) puts them back in the mainstream spotlight. The new mix of the Revolver album went back to the top of the charts after 50 odd years and their albums still sell remarkably well and there is the release of the single Now and Then recovered recently given the Jackson treatment. Seems each new generation discovers them and they go through another resurgence. On You Tube they are at the top of the "Reaction" videos amongst young people - for example this young couple are probably the most popular in that field of reaction videos and they refer to them as GOAT - Greatest of all Time - Indeed their Hey Jude appraisal has had over 600,000 views Have a look.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_Ecq-HT7J4

There are a large number of series that exist in the archives that would never see the light of day if it were not for the video sharing sites I know there's the question of copyright, but as time marches on the potential audience for these programmes mush be shrinking and with the demise of Network, at the moment the likes of You Tube and Daily Motion do offer a chance to see these hidden shows. One series I wasn't even aware of is "A Slight Case Of.... starring Roy Kinnear which part of one episode has recently been uploaded It has a great cast including Alfie Bass, Jon Pertwee, John Inman, Hugh Lloyd and Kenneth Connor - and according to TV brain is present in the archive in full - yet hidden from the likes of I-Player or a streaming service release or dvd. Marti Caine's run of series for the BBC seems to have escaped in broadcast quality after being pretty much unavailable since last broadcast in the 80s, likewise Ooh La, La the last series from 1973 is now online ok.ru/video/5356198300365There are many examples such as Rogues Gallery (1968) Victorian Scandals(1976) and Alexander The Greatest (1971) Any thoughts ?

Was the performance of Whole lotta Love by CCS ? If so it would be the first time UK CCS footage exists.... No, not per se. It was the TOTP Orchestra with Cozy Powell. CCS had a lot of members but I'm not sure any played on the 04/10/73 version. Thanks for the info Ray - Did they ever perform live on TOTP ?
