I've merged all the Scottish Comedy Playhouse, to keep things concise.

This is why I both love and hate this forum. I don't remember a Scottish Comedy Playhouse. Apparently it was shown in Scotland while the rest of the UK got Monty Python. As a 14 year old when it was transmitted I didn't get much say in what we watched but I'd welcome the chance to see them again (assuming they still exist). Ah well back to interwebthingy digging.

when the Scottish comedy playhouse finished each edition in 1970 (& all other BBC Scotland shows at the time) under the directors name BBC Scotland would end their programmes in the late sixties, early seventies with their logo which is circular & had the look of the Scottish map drawn over 13 lines with the BBC Scotland byline underneath. Any forum members living in Scotland remembered it? I first saw it when BBC Scotland repeated 'sunset song' back in 1988 & again when showed an episode of the 1970 comedy series lex again in 1990. Although I was born in 1974 they used that logo to proceed all local programming when BBC Scotland & other regions(with their own regional logo) opt-out of the network to show their own programmes instead of showing the globe which in the 60s & 70s were only seen nationally & transmitted in London.
