He also appeared on Thank Your Lucky stars.
Presume it was a comedy song.
As the show was Birmingham based, Bill may have had some local influence to get on the show.

He made a couple of appearances in the second series of "TW3". It's possible he made some appearances related to Footlights/Cambridge Circus, though these probably no longer exist. The "TW3" stuff does exist...

Sir William Edgar Oddie was quite frequently seen on this and that in the mid-60s - I recall his This Is Your Life featured a clip from the short-lived BBC3 (the show, not the channel), so some of that survives.
The TW3 material was probably his "jazz solo" songs, where he'd compose some daft lyric to go with some noodling. Were these performed by Millicent Martin? He was also in the US touring show of TW3 and presumably appeared on TV when Cambridge Circus was televised...? Or was that American only?
The Thank Your Lucky Stars appearance was probably for his single "The Knitting Song".
Aside from being part of the team who worked on Twice A Fortnight, he appeared in the 1948 Show and was famously asked to join the second series of Broaden Your Mind, which led to the formation of The Goodies.
He is, also, a national treasure. And a genuine OBE.

I did a search of the New Zealand Sound Archive's database and sure enough the 4 radio shows and part of the audio of the video taping showed up.
