So that just leaves the first caricature. I'm surprised no-one has suggested this lady who is also the topic of another popular thread on this forum at the moment! An odd mix of characters. Brits, Americans, 1 Aussie and 1 Jamaican... John Lydon was born in London but spends most of his time in America these days. Likewise, Chaplin spent most of his life in the US but is always referred to as an English actor/film-maker. I suppose as the show was intended to be broadcast on both sides of the Atlantic they needed icons that would be recognizable to all of us. I'm still not 100% convinced about 11 and 14, though. Does anyone else agree with Ray's suggestions? The slowed down video is here if it helps: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykHm51me69o

FWIW, "Baby Grobags" aired in Australia as part of the original run, got a VHS copy floating around somewhere. Similarly, an episode of Matt Frewer's later sit-com "Doctor, Doctor" which wasn't shown in the US aired in Australia.

I've been going through my massive collection of stuff. Books, collectables and everything else I bought but didn't need. 44 years of collecting. I also have the remains of a large video collection, maybe 200 tapes from 4000+ at it's height. The tapes have been in storage for years and now reside in my loft. These are the ones that I want to digitise as they were off air recording and stuff that was never repeated or released as far as I know.
Amongst them are at lease 5 3 hour tapes of Max Headroom. I know I taped all the video juke box episodes and the talk show ones. ( I seem to remember missing half of 1 episode). If they do contain missing episodes, I will be more than happy to donate them. (I will try and do a viewing this coming weekend, but cannot absolutely promise.) I really don't recall what's on them as the 80's were a long time ago.
