What has that video, or even most of this thread, have to do with missing episodes? Surely the thread should be deleted. There's many, many forums where this would be on-subject.

Hi Nick, appreciate your concern about canonicity, but our genial Mods and not a few folk here disagree with you. We've been round the mulberry bush on this issue more than once, not just regarding this thread, and the prevailing view seems to be that as it harms no one, is directly relevant to Doctor Who - call it the control group re Missing Episodes if you like - and that nobody at all is forced to read it, yet it has gotten really very extensive views in a fairly short space of time (many thousands over a few weeks) - I think it can be seen as a case of "to each their own", surely? We don't all read all threads but I think we'd all agree that's as good a thing about being here as being tolerant, polite and multi-faceted.

Bull. Take it elsewhere. People keep asking this. And posting links to videos with no context of what they even are? #fail

Seriously, what do you think is being helped by this? With respect, I'll remind you that we're following the leads of both the Mods and each other in being civil and inclusive here. If that's not your bag, why kick up such a fuss instead of following your own advice?

I originally thought the topic could be tolerated and educational in sharing our thoughts however it seems to have evolved into the tread that will not die.
My thoughts are that this is a missing episode forum and while some occasional discourse on how nu who relates to missing episode enthusiasts can have merit, some may feel that it is being presented in a, way of promoting nu who by one rather than a group discussion
While I think the mods were open minded to allow the topic, I'm wondering if perhaps the tread has served it's purpose allowing others the opportunity to share and the best course of action is to rest this topic rather than have Mods get involved and close it. ..or worse yet, make a rule on nu who conversation or give warnings

Let's not get like other forums

If that's not your bag, why kick up such a fuss instead of following your own advice? I haven't been rude; if you have perceived that, let me assure you that you are mistaken. I'll remain polite. Please take this off-topic discussion elsewhere. Why would we be discussing Capaldi here any more than the price of oil, the weather in the Malay peninsular, or car prices in the UK? There's no missing Capaldi I'm aware of. Though perhaps someone could find the missing Eccelston unused scenes from the Series 1 DVD ... The occasional mention perhaps ... but 20 pages now, that has resorted to simply posting U-Tube links with not even a mention of why the link is posted? Is it missing material? It's not like like there aren't many great outlets and boards to discuss this. Such as Gallifrey Base, which is a great board, with so many different subforums, you can discuss just about anything. This board has never been for that kind of chatter. I can send you the web address if you can't find it.

Nicholas Fitzpatrick said -`Please take this off-topic discussion elsewhere. In my opinion it should never have been allowed to fill one page let alone grow to twenty. Equally there are more appropriate places for the favourite story polls - Pertwee? Im sure its only a matter of time before there's a `Favourite Davison Story' poll. However it is merely my opinion and ultimately the MODs will decide and I respect their right to do so and cannot deny other members approve. Just dont think it has any place on here and fear it may be the thin end of the wedge. Mind you I have just contributed to those twenty pages.......................!

This board has never been for that kind of chatter. I can send you the web address if you can't find it. You use needlessly aggressive language, then say I've misunderstood you? No, you are being rude. A bully, even. You see others liking and tolerating something you don't, and you lash out. You say we must go. You ignore that the Mods and not a few people here disagree with you. Obviously, they should consult you and apologise, post haste. You paint a picture that is disconnected from reality - if you really can't see why topics unrelated to Missing Episodes are here, despite a recent chat on the board about the very issue, then you seem incapable of accepting that the board belongs to more folks than you. That speaks to a sense of entitlement and dislike for the unlike. Plenty of sites online for you to fly off the handle if that's what you do for fun, so why not let the Mods and the others here who aren't bothering you alone eh? If it's not plain, nobody is forcing you to read or discuss or complain about the Capaldi era. Demanding others stop because you don't want to begin or even see it happen, and misrepresent what others do in participating or allowing it, is over the top. If you have more to say, give it to a Mod.

Simple... If you dont like or agree with the thread.... don't open it. If you do want to read a thread that is 20 pages long(and im sure a mod or 2 MIGHT have noticed it in that time.. so its probably been allowed.)... open it and read it. that way everyone is happy and content
