Does anybody know if the 1973 edition of the All Star Comedy Carnival exists? If it does, which archive would hold it? I assume it would be Thames. A friend of mine was in the audience for this show. Would there be anyway of her viewing/getting a VHS copy of it? I know these type of things are expensive, but I'm not really "in the know" about these things. Any help would be appreciated.

Only the inserts for Man About The House and Spring And Autumn exist per Kal 95.
If these were linked with a studio adience between segments then its probably been junked I'm afraid.

I had a viewing tape run off from the Thames archive by Pearson a few years back. It cost around £70 - £80 for a thirty minute programme. They were very helpful. I'm not sure what the policy is now it's owned by Fremantle Media, but their address is still the same, so you'll be dealing with the same people. Was the viewing tape of the surviving inserts or does the whole programme still exist. I am a bit confused.

The whole 1973 edition exists at Thames, it contains material owned by other TV companies, hence the lack of clarity emanating from professional databases. We showed the whole edition in the late 1990s. Very good.
