Even if the DVD line is finished I do think with Doctor Who being on Netflix, Hulu, amazon streaming and itunes they could attempt to animate a few stories in the future as exclusive streaming content (much like the McGann Shada or Scream of the Shalka).
Say Hulu offers some money to get an exclusive Doctor Who story for their subscribers. I could see them attempting to animate Power of the Daleks as a miniseries or something along those lines and release it on blu-ray on a later date.
Stranger things have happened.

I would love to see a DVD series devoted to just documentaries for completely missing stories-either for individual serials or a DVD devoted to say, just Troughton missing stories.Myth Makers did amazing releases ( presented by Nik Briggs ) which somehow seem better and more satisfying than the current DVD docs.As far as I know, they never produced any releases for say Power, but those devoted to individual actors were wonderful.

Personally (and I may be alone on this) I was hoping for Special Editions of the Dalek Invasion of Earth, Pyramids of Mars and The Two Doctors.

Personally (and I may be alone on this) I was hoping for Special Editions of the Dalek Invasion of Earth, Pyramids of Mars and The Two Doctors. Actually I was watching DIOE just this week and thought it would be a prime story for an SE,especially following the up-grade of the Aztecs in terms of contrast and picture stabilization. The CGI flying saucers are still wonderful more than 10 years later though. However,if there was one story where colorization would be welcome (disregarding all calls that B/W stories should be left alone),then in my opinion it should be this one.It cries out for colour but I suppose only in the sense that there is a colour version and it would be interesting to see how the BBC production would look in comparison to that.In relation to POM and TD,I can't really see how they would look any better than previous releases unless they were accompanied by in-depth documentaries.80's productions especially with their intense lighting can't benefit from any up-grade unless the RT could actually turn the production lighting down ( WOTD we're looking at you)!

Mind Robber has a noisy picture, particularly the first episode, so it could be improved for a reissue.

Good points and you're right,it does look good in monochrome. However,I think also the main reason I wanted it in colour was because it was such an ambitious production for it's day. There are lots of iconic location scenes,a lot of which were very difficult to organize and mount especially when you read the production notes that somehow the use of colour would have made the production even more expansive. It would have made an interesting experiment but yes,the B/W TV version just oozes atmosphere!

Personally (and I may be alone on this) I was hoping for Special Editions of the Dalek Invasion of Earth, Pyramids of Mars and The Two Doctors. I know Two Doctors is out of print because of the Jim will Fix It sketch (it goes for over 200 on amazon now) so I can see an altered release happening. Bunch of Classic DVDs are out of print in the US. So I could see some stuff getting special editions or just at least a repackagin (like the did with the first three Hartnell stories).

The Jim'll fix it sketch is virtually worthless anyway. However,on the subject of SEs,I must say that the Scene at Six extra on the Ark in Space SE is absolutely extraordinary! It is so moving to see the popularity of Tom Baker in Northern Ireland, the way he interacts with the adults and children of Derry and Belfast, the sheer power of Dr.Who as an institution in the mid 1970s.It really was at it's peak and so powerful in it's influence on popular culture,no wonder it was getting 10-12 million on a Saturday night. One of the best extras on a Dr.Who DVD ever in my opinion.

In hindsight that sketch is rather prescient. When Savile's picture appears on the Tardis's scanner, Tegan says "It's monstrous" and The Doctor follows up with "It's revolting".
How right they were.

And in War Machines: "He looks just like that disc jockey!" You know, the one with the long white hair we're not supposed to mention any more.

Do you think there is scope for more Blu-ray classic releases? I know "Spearhead" is the only classic serial that can fully benefit from the higher definition transfer (and very nice it is too) But Would a serial with portions filmed on location (where the 16mm film trims still exist) like Castrovalva be any good do you think? I guess the location scenes could transfer in to HD even though the studio material would have to be upscaled. (semi HD) Also - because the bit-rate of Blu-ray is superior to DVD - surely any serial would look "as good as it ever could" if played from a blu-ray disc? I just wondered whether this could be a way of keeping the brand alive for future generations, not necessarily for the likes of me who has faithfully got every DVD release since they started the range.
