I have been reading the book wiped and there are alot of blank's next to Gibraltar. This means we dont know what happen to the 16mm prints that where sent to Gibraltar.
The Book WIPED leaves them blank is this country our last hope ?

Actually, no.
I saw some DW prints recently which were returned to BBC Enterprises in 1978. Although the labels indicated they were from a different broadcaster, the paperwork inside was from GBC (Gibraltar).
Basically, films were screened in country A and then were either sent directly or via BBC Enterprises in London to Gibraltar and were then returned, within weeks of broadcast in Gibraltar. The dates for the two countries involved add up and no, the films aren't missing episodes, or in fact previously missing.
What it tells me is that Gibraltar turned things around very quickly after screening. They didn't hang onto anything.
Regards,
Paul

Also, I doubt Gibraltar deserves the title "our last hope". We may be 50 years out, but there's still plenty of little avenues of consideration and collectors still surprise us every now and then.

The truth is Australia and New zealand broadcasted every single lost episode yet non have turned up . I don't think they showed every episode. And some of the episodes which exist today did indeed come back from that part of the world at some stage. Quite a lot more than people realise. Paul
