Following on from an earlier thread (now deleted, bizarrely), where I listed all the TOTP audio that I had on cassette from 74-76 (much of which Ray Langstone informed me was 'missing') ... Under (gentle) pressure from another member of this forum, I have finally copied all of these to my PC, and have started creating pseudo-video files for loading onto YouTube. So far I've done .... one! - the inimitable 'Fanny' by Ronnie Corbett from 14/11/1974. It can be found at : www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUxPPuq0q9w&list=UU4yJhNi_wAo5AzD-SuTVgbw&index=1More to follow : in the main they are songs performed on TOTP which never made the Top 30 (though there are some exceptions).

Hi Dale, thanks for uploading this song. Is there any chance you could upload the dj links as well as the relevant song. A lot of people find these as interesting to hear as the songs Well done for keeping these tapes for so long

Hi Dale, thanks for uploading this song. Is there any chance you could upload the dj links as well as the relevant song. A lot of people find these as interesting to hear as the songs Well done for keeping these tapes for so long Unfortunately I never recorded the DJ links. I will be uploading a couple with DJ links (Noel Edmonds) recorded by my wife in 1976 : and I have a few from early 1974 lifted from an old Woolies reel-to-reel tape recorder (VERY poor quality ; runs at indeterminate and variable speed!) that have DJ links from DLT. As for keeping them so long ... I still play them, regularly : my old cassettes (and my wife's) are repeated on an endless loop while I am doing the washing up! Takes about a year to go through them all, then back to the beginning! Much better than vinyl / CD / MP3 for that purpose as they carry on from where I left off last time! What's that? I'm very sad?? Afraid so ...

Thanks so much dale for posting the audio clips ,much appreciated You're most welcome : I still find it bizarre that these poorish quality recordings, with which I am SO familiar (!), maybe the only record of these performances. Here's Leo (and the hairy corn-flake ...) www.youtube.com/watch?v=md19IqFpOGw

Thanks,Dale. The Protheroe number's very pleasant. As far as I can see,IMDB has him performing on ''Rock on With 45' on 7/10/1974,no sign of the TOTP.

Hi,
I've come across an old reel EMITAPE and there's a slip of paper inside holder with Top Of The Pops 1970 but nothing to play it on, any ideas?
Thanks
Tony

Yeah, just 2 days ago I asked once again if anybody knew where my old reel-to-reel was, and my sister said "yes, it's in the loft". Will have to hunt down some of my old r2r tapes of my (heh) brush with 'fame' on local radio (I'm laughing because of my previous posting on the 'pan's people' thread)
