I have been searching for the new Mausoleum Club on Google, and only the old 'closed' one comes up on searches. This makes it extremely hard for new people to find it.
Having finally found the 'new' one, I put in a request yesterday to join, and was emailed to say that someone will be getting back to me, but 24 hours later - nothing.
Perhaps they are doing credit checks. I'll give it a few more days.

I've always found the old and new MC hard to find-Google results always seem to be about the radio programme. Here's the new site: www.mausoleumclubforum.org.uk/phpBB3/index.php I joined a few months ago.Hopefully,it wasn't a window of opportunity which has closed.Best of luck! Well, that link doesn't work anymore... Has the new MC vanished, now?

Aha - "creating a new account is not currently possible." Never seen such a message on any PHP forum before - all I have ever joined have been welcoming and friendly even the one for ex-BBC employees.

'Course I never get to see that "No registrations" sign, since I'm always logged in.(Now there's a surprise). Anyway,I've Put the Question.
On the old site,it used to be possible to see a list of members, past and present, including when new members had joined-as it is here,at least the last bit. There was an impressive list of people who'd been excluded. The MC has been acrimony-free,which is nice.Shame about the Wall...

Groucho Marx's quote springs to mind - "I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member."

Oddly I had the site bookmarked and this thread prompted me to take a look. I generally have a look about once a month or so but noticed that I wasn't shown as logged in. After a bit of head-scratching I remembered my username & password and found that according to the board my last visit was in 2013 (probably prompted by this thread). I've set it to remember me but it just shows what goes around comes around

The lack of new registrations maybe because Mr Wolf (founder) and whoever has not got the time or inclination to administer it anymore ? I think he paid for the original MC forum himself ? and maybe this helped get a career at Network? so basically it has done it's job and the fact he has kept it going at all after that is perhaps down to his generosity? The members he has got now are quite docile (ie.will not be writing anything naughty)compared to a few years ago when discussions about TV could turn into political rants and insults. Then of course there were the mischievous trolls who just signed up to wind up members with stories about they had a complete set of Timeslip in colour etc etc etc .So the admin probably had to keep an eye on it day and night which they can't do now.

Yep.I was nervous about joining-it was possible to view the list of members and quite a few were barred.I saw one or two of the big disputes. Shame that it is the way it is.Roobarb is so big,I'd be worried about starting a thread because there'd be sure to be one from 2004.(Searches never seem to work for me there).
