My initial thoughts are TOTP but nothing there to identify it as. Looks UK rather than USA though.

I was just thinking the same there Paul. As my initial gutt reaction was TOTP, but there are no defining items witnessed in the clip to ascertain it as such? Hmm, interesting ?? I agree on that it most definitely has the look of a UK TV show rather than a US TV show. Now, of course the real question remains, " Which Show??? ". Honestly, with some of the crowd sitting down, makes me think not for a TOTP clip. More European in origin would be my best guess here, Possibly French or Dutch TV with all the people sitting down, and the checkered floor, sure makes me think this might be the most likely in this case??? Just a personal opinion there of course.
Cheers, Lance.

its definitely NOT TOTP. its something like Beatclub dancing, tagged onto a vinyl audio with a picture that comes in now and again,
these kids cannot dance and the guy sitting down clicking his fingers out of time, is so unhip, if he was that good he'd be up there dancing.
to confirm its deffo not TOTP I surrender wasnt done at TOTP.

I don't think the dancing is related to the original track Pete as there is a group shown in the background. It seems the poster has just used a tv show with dancers on to make up a video.
It's not Beat Club though.
The 'Circles' in the background were used quite a lot on TOTP in the early years but after inspection the gaps between the circles are not the same.
It's the checkered floor that's the one that point to a european or a possible US show and not TOTP.

No i didn't think it was Beat Club either when i first saw it i was rather excited thinking it looked like TOTPs but watching it several times i think the dancers look slightly foreign looking , but there again i could be completely wrong and it could be from a u.k show i just don't know to be honest.

It doesn't quite look like TOTP (or Beat Club or any of the most well known pop shows, for that matter) as I don't remember it to ever have a group of people sitting down on set like that. As Paul says though, probably the clip isn't attached to the music, which clouds the issue. I would personally take a guess and say that the audience looks somehow European rather than American. But that's as far as I'd go.

I'll put a pound on 'Shindig',if only because I couldn't see any other shows she'd been on!

Not TOTP. That's for sure. I'd say definitely European and not US. Too mod-ish a crowd for the US!!!!

Looks to me like "Swingin' Time" from Detroit - there is an episode here for comparison - www.youtube.com/watch?v=xH3G7Y25qm4The only place to see Inez and Charlie Foxx or The Elgins from the 60s, I think.

Blimey - I thought the US generally were a bit behind the UK and Western Europe on mod-ish fashions. I apologize, most sincerely, Motor City, I humbly apologize.
