Does anyone know about the distribution plans, perchance? I'd be pleased if iTunes were carrying it as briskly as Enemy and Web - even if I had to wait a month or two for a hopefully nattier release on Blu-Ray.

I believe it's supposed to be included as an extra on the 'Day of the Doctor' Blu Ray and DVD.

Really, Richard? Interesting! I feel a bit like when Disney - a decade or so after the fact - finally deigned to release their completed Dali-Disney collaboration Destino, as an extra on a title I'd never otherwise buy. Would have thought that the docudrama itself would merit its own release, honestly. Those interested in Who will buy it, and those who are interested from historical and cultural angles, too. A making of and commentary, perhaps another little featurette or two, this would round out a release of An Adventure In Space And Time quite nicely. Wouldn't say no to a signing at Forbidden Planet with some of the cast, the writer and the original 60s folk represented in the show. But if it's lumped in with Day Of The Doctor - it suggests to me a kind of lack of confidence in what the docudrama offers. And I think that's a darn shame, as it deserves a higher profile. It also seems to me that if it's a sort of B-side to the 50th Anniversary special, the kind of extras it ought to get may very well be lacking. This would be a missed opportunity if true. It'll also lock people in to buying something, potentially at a higher cost, as an extra with something they might not want. If that's the case - the key point. Of course, we'll have to wait and see. But I shouldn't mind a bit if we get some clarification about all this from the Beeb in the near term!

This photo has been all around the web; he posted it after I shared Blogtor Who's site. Fair enough Simeon - hadn't seen it myself, thought others might like to. That's fine. it wasn't a 'you're so late to the part comment' just letting you know that it's okay to post as I think they actually originated from BBC America.

Can't find anything official, but this is one of many websites stating that BBC Worldwide have confirmed it: merchandise.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/doctor-who-50th-anniversary-dvd-pre-order/I agree it seems like a missed opportunity. I for one would have happily paid out for both releases - instead it seems like you buy one and get the other as a free extra.

The details are pretty thin on the ground, but perhaps that's partially in response to seeing how the docudrama is received in the ratings? I've seen that page too. Maybe a more official release from the BBC will give us some details. For instance, it may not preclude An Adventure In Space And Time from getting its own fully featured release later, or even at the same time Day Of The Doctor is released. Fingers crossed that this isn't the last word on things, just yet!

Nice find Mark, thanks! It took me ages to find the original o/t posts on the original posters buried in another thread so I have created a thread covering all 4 posters now as well as amending my post above.

I saw on Twitter today (@blogtorwho) that AAISAT will air on BBC2 in week 47 - sometime between Nov 16th and Nov 23rd.

This may seem like a very silly question, but does anyone know when this is going to be broadcast?
